analog grit & saturation
warm to fuzzy drive. can go light/medium to heavy. 
great for warming up sounds, adding punch and beef or definition.
also can shape,cut,boost w/ the bass/treble EQs.
on the higher gain settings its more fuzzy / heavy like a fuzz pedal. 
very versatile. stacks great w/ other stuff. great for adding some grit to synths, drum machines, samplers too.
